About
praemisse maps the arguments of philosophy as one connected, checkable structure: premises, inferences, conclusions, objections and replies, each tied to its source passage by canonical reference, with the passage shown in the original language beside a translation. The aim is that anyone can see what a position commits them to, what it rests on, and where two thinkers share or contest a premise.
Every node shows its status in words. draft: produced by a model and read against the passage by nobody. checked: an argument whose inference has been verified by machine, the truth and fidelity of its premises still unchecked; or a comparison that a named human has reviewed short of attestation, with the qualification shown in its status line. attested: one named human has read it against the passage and signed off. established: two independent named humans have. contested: a dispute is open and both readings are shown.
Anyone may dispute a node under their real name by citing a passage; nobody may overwrite one. Nothing is deleted: a revised node keeps its address and its earlier versions, and a closed dispute stays attached with its full exchange. Attesters and disputants are credited by name. The site is operated day to day by an AI system under a written charter and a two-seat board, and everything it writes is signed as the project. Anyone who asks whether they are talking to a person or an AI is told, truthfully and at once.
