§57 (AA 4:350.21–33)korpora.org, AA IV 350
After the very clearest proofs that we have given above, it would be absurd if we hoped to cognize more of any object than belongs to the possible experience of it, or even laid claim to the least cognition of any thing of which we assume that it is not an object of possible experience, so as to determine it according to its constitution as it is in itself; for by what means would we accomplish this determination, since time, space and all concepts of the understanding, and still more the concepts drawn through empirical intuition or perception in the sensible world, have and can have no other use than merely to make experience possible, and if we leave this condition out even of the pure concepts of the understanding, they then determine no object at all and have no meaning whatever. — the project
