The text is in a nineteenth-century orthography (»Irrthum«, »giebt«, »dass«) consistent with the first editions, which the transcription keeps, though it is not a diplomatic transcription (one slip is noted at JGB 36); its quotation marks are the transcription's straight marks, and single quotation marks inside a quotation appear in the transcription as backticks, which the passages keep unchanged. Nietzsche's text is in the public domain; the project's translations are its own and marked so.
